Microsoft wins tech most ethical company in the world award 2011. Tech giant Microsoft won the honor granted by Ethisphere Institute’s listing the “World’s Most Ethical Company” tech designation. Microsoft beat out several other technology company heavyweights including Google, Yahoo, Facebook and other industry giants. Microsoft has made a public relations comeback since the litigation years of the past questioning their monopoly power.
Led by Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer, Microsoft has metamorphosed into a tech giant with a heart. Gates routinely travels the world with his wife Melinda, to implement initiatives that are designed to help others. Mark Zuckerberg recently announced he would be joining the list of billionaires who will donate most of their wealth and invested 100 million in the New Jersey school system
It pays to be ethical. the graph above shows the growth of ethical companies and their rate of growth compared to the overall S&P 500. The more ethical, the better the profit margins consistently overtime. Brand managers and marketers know that perception can help to fuel growth in more ways than one.
