Fall is an exciting time for dance performances in New York City, especially with the annual Fall For Dance Festival at New York City Center. Over ten days, you can enjoy a wide range of performances from ballet to hip hop by big name companies like Mark Morris Dance Group and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, as well as emerging stars like virtuosic hoofer Maurice Chestnut.
In conjunction with the festival are the Dance Talk series, pre-performance Q&A sessions with the artists and the opening of Lounge FFD, a transformation of the public atrium between 55th & 56th Streets into a free lounge for mingling, networking and discussion over cocktails and snacks with a rotating roster of NYC DJs. So set your alarms for Sunday October 2 at 11am, when tickets go on sale, because they will sell out quickly. Visit the website for a complete listing of performances. See you there!
