Apple Tops J.D. Power & Associates 2011 Wireless Consumer Smartphone Customer Satisfaction Study:

Apple Wins J.D. Power & Associates Smartphone Survey for 2011.

Apple iPhone won the J.D. Power & Associates 2011 “Wireless Consumer Smartphone Customer Satisfaction Study” .  The smartphone has been a hit with consumers who have been snatching up iPhones in droves and the iPhone 4 features easy to use technology such as FaceTime which allows users to see each other when talking.

The Battery Life Debate

The the wireless consumer smartphone survey showed overall ease of use rankings, physical design ratings, handset features and OS scores for the iPhone were high. HTC came a close second by receiving high ratings for physical design and handset features.  iPhone was the first well received touch screen phone and new phones emulate the sleek design and touchpad features.  RIM and Samsung faired less well with average ratings from consumers on design and ease of use.  The study shows battery life isn’t as important if the overall design works and is easy to use.  Apple scored low for battery life while getting high marks acrosss every other category.  Packing in more features can help phone sales by satisfying consumers.
