SNL Spoofs 1st President Obama and Mitt Romney Presidential Debate, Social Media Runs With It:

Last night Saturday Night Live spoofed the 1st Presidential debate in Denver, Colorado.  The footage shows President Obama and Mitt Romney debating in exaggerated fashion.  Romney had a 41-point plan while President Obama wanted to hire teachers to help improve the economy.  The clip also features President Obama thinking about his anniversary and other items while he plans what he should get his wife Michelle Obama as a gift.

Perhaps the funniest part of the debate was when Romney supposedly claimed to have been the one responsible for finding Osama Bin Laden to which President Obama replied, “no you two go ahead”.  Later SNL showed the President forgetting his daughter’s name and becoming weary due to the altitude in Denver which was a suggestion humorously proffered by former Vice President Al Gore as a reason President Obama didn’t perform as well as he could in the debate.

Saturday Night Live also mocked MSNBC and Romney by bringing in Big Bird during the Weekend Update along with a sketch about Rachel Maddow and Al Sharpton along with an angry Chris Matthews.  The SNL show last night was extremely non-partisan funny.  Social media sites spread the excerpts of the show and it the presidential debate continues to be a top topic on the Sunday political talk shows.
